Forecasting the cost of Scotland's social security benefits

As responsibility for more social security benefits is handed over to the Scottish Parliament, forecasting their impact on Scotland's budget becomes increasingly important.

If you have experience of Carer's Allowance, Sure Start Maternity Grant, the Healthy Start scheme, Discretionary Housing Payments, Funeral Payments or Employability Services or are interested in the devolution of these benefits to Scotland, you may be keen to attend our event on 25 September 2018. You can register here.

Our team will outline how we forecast the spending on each devolved benefit and seek views on what opportunities exist to improve our models. We will also set out what you can expect from us as the devolution of social security continues and further benefits become part of our remit including ill-health and disability benefits. We look forward to welcoming all those with an interest in any of these areas.

The conference centre is fully accessible and details can be found here.

If you have already registered and have any accessibility or dietary requirements please let us know via email at info@fiscalcommission.scot or by phone on 0131 244 0738.
