Scottish Child Payment

The Scottish Child Payment provides additional financial support for low income families. It pays £10 per week for each child in families who are in receipt of a qualifying benefit (usually Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit).

Payments started in February 2021 and are currently available for children aged under six.  The Scottish Government plans to extend payments to children aged under sixteen by the end of 2022, and this extension is included in our forecast.
