Records Management Plan

On 17 November 2021 the Keeper of the Records of Scotland agreed the terms of the Commission’s Records Management Plan, recommending that it should be published as an example of good practice within the authority and the sector.

The Keeper also commends participation by authorities in undertaking, and reporting on, regular self-assessments and reviews of their records management arrangements. Through the Progress Update Review process a stronger sense of collaboration and mutual support will be achieved between the Commission and the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 Assessment Team. The first such review was undertaken in late 2022.
